Roofing and Siding

The granular insights to achieve outsized M&A outcomes for roofing and siding company owners.

Roofing & Siding –
Accelerating Consolidation, Strong Macroeconomic Tailwinds

Our roofing & siding practice includes all the stakeholders up and down the supply chain, but focuses on residential and commercial roofing contractors involved in new roofing, re-roofing and maintenance.

The roofing contractor industry sub-vertical is extremely active in M&A.  Private equity activity in the space has been robust and driving consolidation, with almost 50 platform investments by financial sponsors in the space alone.  The non-discretionary nature of re-roofing (for both commercial and residential end-users), low capital investment, and strong margins makes roofing contractors an attractive target for outside capital, and we believe that dynamic is going to continue for the foreseeable future.  New construction-focused contractors face more cyclicality, and timing becomes more important for these businesses with regards to M&A.

Anchor Peabody’s roofing and siding practice is ideally suited to offer unique, best-in-class advice to help the industry navigate these complexities.  Our goal is to help business owners and operators understand all of the dynamics around consolidation, the nuance and drivers of value in M&A, and to help businesses and entrepreneurs drive outsized outcomes when the time is right to transact.
